Power

power network such as electrical distribution below 69 kV, substations, and natural gas power
plants.

describe the available data on infrastructure topology, infrastructure components, system states,
and operation.
Water
Describe the types of components, processes, and systems you wish to evaluate in the
water network such as reservoirs, water distribution system, and water towers. Identify any data
you have available on the infrastructure, system states, and operation to help develop the RISE
model.
Do you have any water infrastructure data on the location of interest?
If so,
describe the available data on infrastructure topology, infrastructure components, system states,
and operation.
Planning Considerations
Describe any planning considerations or decisions of interest to you,
such as locating new infrastructure, upgrading or repairing existing infrastructure,
adjusting engineering specifications, or funding allocation. These simulations are typically
longer in duration, years or decades, to evaluate infrastructure configurations and system
states for potential vulnerabilities.
Operational Considerations
Describe any operational considerations or decisions of interest to you, such as
power distribution switching, water supply dispatch, resource allocation
during disaster
response, or operator training. These scenarios are typically shorter in duration, minutes or
hours, and occur in real-time
during normal operations and contingency events (such
equipment failure or a simulated storm).
System Threats / Stressors
RISE can simulate various events by 'taking out' parts of the water or power network, simulating an event below.
